Vice President of Customer Success – Los Angeles (Hybrid)
AccountMakers has been engaged by an enterprise software company to hire a Vice President of Customer Success to lead customer retention, adoption, and long-term account value across a portfolio of enterprise and mid-market clients. This role is responsible for defining the post-sale customer strategy and ensuring consistent, high-quality execution across onboarding, support, and account management.
Position Details
The Vice President of Customer Success will own the end-to-end customer lifecycle, overseeing teams responsible for onboarding, account management, renewals, and ongoing customer engagement. In this role, you will establish customer success strategy, build scalable operating models, and ensure customers achieve measurable value from the platform.
You will work closely with Product, Engineering, Sales, and Operations to align customer feedback with roadmap priorities, improve implementation processes, and strengthen cross-functional handoffs. This role requires a balance of strategic leadership and hands-on operational oversight, with a focus on customer retention, expansion, and long-term partnerships.
This position is based in Los Angeles and operates in a hybrid environment, with regular in-office collaboration and leadership presence.
What We’re Looking For
10+ years of experience in customer success, account management, or client services, including senior leadership roles.
Experience supporting enterprise or mid-market customers in software, technology, or digital services environments.
Proven ability to build and scale customer success organizations and operating processes.
Strong understanding of customer lifecycle management, retention strategies, and renewal motions.
Experience defining KPIs, customer health scoring, and performance metrics.
Ability to lead executive-level customer conversations and manage escalations effectively.
Strong cross-functional leadership skills, particularly with Product, Engineering, Sales, and Operations.
Experience with CRM and customer success tools such as Salesforce, Gainsight, Totango, or similar platforms.
Comfortable operating in complex organizations with multiple stakeholders and evolving priorities.

Compensation
This permanent position offers a competitive salary range of $160,000–$195,000 annually, plus performance-based incentives and comprehensive benefits.
