Vice President of Sales – Austin, TX (Remote)
AccountMakers has been engaged by our client, a venture-backed AI and data automation platform, to hire a Vice President of Sales. This full-time executive role will lead revenue strategy, scale a high-performing sales organization, and drive market expansion as the company accelerates growth across mid-market and enterprise customers.
Position Details
Are you a strategic sales leader with the ability to build momentum quickly and guide teams through rapid scale? Our client is seeking a Vice President of Sales to define and execute a clear go-to-market strategy, strengthen pipeline quality, and close high-value enterprise deals in the AI and automation space.
In this role, you will oversee sales execution, forecasting accuracy, and team performance while shaping the company’s long-term revenue architecture. You’ll design territories, refine compensation plans, improve qualification standards, and introduce repeatable sales playbooks. You’ll partner closely with marketing, product, and customer success to ensure alignment on messaging, handoffs, and customer lifecycle touchpoints. The ideal candidate brings strong operational discipline, a data-driven mindset, and a leadership style that elevates both people and performance.
The position is based in Austin, Texas, with hybrid flexibility.
What We’re Looking For
10+ years of progressive sales leadership experience, including direct ownership of quotas and revenue targets
Demonstrated success scaling B2B sales teams, ideally within SaaS, AI, automation, or enterprise technology
Strong track record of meeting or exceeding annual targets and improving pipeline velocity and conversion
Experience leading sales hiring, coaching, performance management, and team development
Ability to design and optimize territories, compensation plans, and scalable sales processes
Excellent cross-functional collaboration capabilities, especially with marketing, product, and customer success
Proficiency with CRM and sales engagement tools such as Salesforce, HubSpot, Outreach, or SalesLoft
Data-driven approach to forecasting, resource planning, and evaluating deal economics
Ability to thrive in fast-moving, growth-focused environments and prioritize high-impact initiatives
Track record of recruiting, developing, and retaining sales talent to improve productivity and time-to-quota

Compensation
This permanent role offers a competitive compensation package, including a base salary of $185,000–$225,000 with performance-based incentives and equity, depending on experience.
