Are you a motivated sales professional with an interest in media, advertising, entertainment, or digital platforms? AccountMakers has been engaged by our client, a fast-growing media company based in New York City, to hire a Media Sales Development Representative (SDR) to help expand advertising partnerships, generate qualified leads, and support revenue growth initiatives across media and branded content channels.

This full-time role will support revenue growth initiatives across advertising, sponsorships, branded content, and strategic partnerships by generating new business opportunities, building agency relationships, and driving outbound prospecting efforts across the media landscape. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly driven and entrepreneurial individual looking to grow within the media and advertising industry. The ideal candidate is proactive, relationship-oriented, and comfortable engaging with brands, agencies, and decision-makers throughout the New York City media ecosystem.

As a Media Sales Development Representative (SDR), you will:

-Identify and prospect new business opportunities across brands, advertisers, media agencies, production companies, and strategic partners.

-Conduct outbound outreach through email, LinkedIn, phone calls, networking initiatives, and industry research to generate qualified sales opportunities.

-Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of prospective advertising, sponsorship, and branded content clients.

-Schedule meetings and introductory conversations for senior sales leadership and partnership executives.

-Research market trends, target accounts, agency relationships, and competitive media landscapes to support business development initiatives.

-Collaborate closely with sales, marketing, partnerships, and executive teams to support lead generation campaigns and outreach strategies.

-Maintain accurate pipeline activity, prospect tracking, CRM updates, and reporting through Salesforce or related platforms.

-Support advertising sales initiatives, sponsorship outreach, branded content partnerships, and audience growth campaigns.

-Represent the company professionally during virtual meetings, networking opportunities, media events, and industry conferences.

This role requires strong communication skills, persistence, commercial awareness, and the ability to build relationships within fast-paced media and advertising environments.

What We’re Looking For:

-1–4 years of experience in sales, business development, advertising, media, recruiting, or customer-facing roles preferred.

-Strong interest in media, entertainment, advertising, digital content, or strategic partnerships.

-Excellent communication, networking, and relationship-building skills.

-Comfortable with outbound prospecting, cold outreach, lead generation, and pipeline development activities.

-Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-growth environments.

-Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-through.

-Experience using Salesforce, HubSpot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, or CRM tools preferred.

-Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with sales, marketing, partnerships, and leadership teams.

-Based in New York City or comfortable working remotely within Eastern Time hours.

-Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Media, or related field preferred.

Compensation

This full-time sales position offers expected on-target earnings (OTE) ranging from $75,000–$110,000+ annually depending on experience and performance, with a base salary range of $50,000–$70,000. A comprehensive benefits package includes health, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time off.
