Director of Sales – New York City Metro Area, Remote

AccountMakers has been engaged by our client, a rapidly growing distribution company, to hire a Director of Sales. This full-time leadership role will oversee all revenue operations across the Northeast region, driving strategic growth through new business development, channel partnerships, and key account expansion.

Position Details
Are you a dynamic sales leader with a proven ability to expand market share and lead teams to exceed ambitious goals? Our client seeks a Director of Sales to build and execute regional growth strategies focused on retail partnerships, wholesale accounts, and emerging e-commerce opportunities.

As Director of Sales, you will:

– Develop and implement regional go-to-market plans that accelerate growth across retail, distribution, and e-commerce channels.

-Lead, mentor, and motivate a high-performing sales team across the Northeast.

-Establish and monitor performance metrics for pipeline management, forecasting, and margin improvement.

-Build and maintain executive-level relationships with major retail and distribution partners.

-Collaborate with marketing and operations to align promotional campaigns, product launches, and channel strategies.

-Negotiate complex contracts, pricing, and long-term supply agreements.

-Represent the company at trade shows, buyer meetings, and industry events to strengthen brand visibility.

This role requires strong leadership, commercial acumen, and the ability to translate data-driven insights into actionable sales strategies.

What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred).

8–12 years of progressive sales experience, with at least 4 in a regional or national leadership capacity.

Proven record of driving multimillion-dollar revenue growth in consumer products, manufacturing, or distribution.

Entrepreneurial mindset with a hands-on approach to driving new business and optimizing team performance in fast-moving environments.

Proven ability to build cross-functional partnerships with marketing, operations, and leadership teams to align revenue strategies and ensure long-term client success.

Deep understanding of channel sales, pricing strategy, and margin optimization.

Strong negotiation and executive communication skills.

Proficiency in CRM and pipeline forecasting tools (Salesforce or HubSpot preferred).

Must reside in or be able to travel regularly throughout the New York City Metro Area.

Compensation
This full-time leadership position offers a base salary of $160,000–$200,000+ annually, plus annual performance bonuses based on revenue and margin growth. A comprehensive benefits package includes health, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time off.
