Business Development Manager – New York City (Remote)
AccountMakers has been engaged by our client, an emerging fintech company, to hire a Business Development Manager. This is a full-time permanent position available for immediate hire, focused on expanding strategic partnerships and driving revenue growth across fintech, financial services, and technology-enabled platforms.

Our client is a venture-backed fintech company delivering modern payment, lending, and financial infrastructure solutions to businesses nationwide. They are seeking a Business Development Manager to identify new market opportunities, develop strategic partnerships, and grow key accounts within the fintech ecosystem.
In this role, you’ll lead partnership development efforts, manage a growing pipeline of opportunities, and negotiate commercial agreements that accelerate adoption of the platform. You’ll work closely with product, compliance, marketing, and sales teams to support go-to-market initiatives and ensure partner success. This role requires a strong balance of relationship-building, strategic thinking, and execution in regulated, high-trust environments.
The ideal candidate is commercially driven, detail-oriented, and comfortable navigating complex buying cycles. This position is remote, with a preference for candidates based in the New York City metro area to support regional partners, industry events, and occasional in-person collaboration.
What We’re Looking For
4–8 years of experience in business development, partnerships, or B2B sales within fintech, financial services, SaaS, or payments
Proven track record of sourcing, negotiating, and closing partnership or enterprise deals
Familiarity with fintech products such as payments, lending platforms, banking APIs, or financial infrastructure
Experience working with regulated products and coordinating with legal or compliance teams
Strong understanding of revenue models, unit economics, and partner incentives
Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to operate independently in fast-growing environments
Collaborative approach and comfort working cross-functionally with product, compliance, and marketing teams
Data-driven approach to pipeline management, forecasting, and performance tracking
Strong relationship management skills to support long-term partner growth and retention

Compensation
This permanent position offers a competitive salary range of $110,000 to $140,000+ annually, plus commission and performance-based incentives tied to partnership expansion and revenue growth.
